Ninth and Alder Building

This site will contain a parking structure, which the team hopes to open for use before the Harborview Bond Program closes parking stalls in the View Park garages in 2028 to build the planned new inpatient tower on campus. The 9th and Alder garage will help offset parking lost when the View Park 1 Garage is torn down to build the Harborview Bond Program new inpatient medical tower.
The 9th and Alder garage is a “bond-affiliated” project, done in conjunction with other major construction work happening on the medical center campus. It is not funded through the Bond, but by the County Hospital Levy and a $5 million behavioral health grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce.
This site may also potentially host a medical office building in the future.
