The Harborview Construction and Infrastructure Division (HCID) has formally selected both an owner advisor and design-builder for the installation of a new 3T MRI scanner at the Ninth and Jefferson Building on the Harborview campus.
Flourish will serve as owner advisor to HCID and Harborview Medical Center, helping the agencies align the project with clinical goals, and budget and operational needs. The highly technical project requires a company with experience attending to specialized shielding and magnets, structural reinforcement, and staff needs.
The MRI scanner project provides Harborview with the detailed imagery needed to increase support to neurotherapeutics for Alzheimer’s patients. HCID’s estimated total value for this project is $7 million from the 2025-approved County Hospital Levy.
Also, Jamieson Architecture accepted the role of designer for Work Order for Multidisciplinary Architectural and Engineering Services for HCID. The work requires a collaborative partner with experience in healthcare projects, including surgical services, and off-campus clinics and areas. Jamieson work will include strategic planning, technical studies, design, engineering, permitting, and construction administration. HCID’s estimated total contract value is $5 million and last up to three years.
