The Harborview Bond Program (HBP) launched a search for two special project managers in late April. The positions are:

Each position will help lead the project management work necessary to implement phases of design and construction of new medical facilities, including a new tower on the Harborview Medical Center campus. The work will entail managing the scope, schedule, communications, and budget of an HBP project(s) while promoting equity and social justice principles.

HBP, an initiative of the King County Executive Office, brings together staff from King County, Harborview Medical Center, UW Medicine, and selected consultants who collaborate to meet the four Bond goals:
- Construct a new high-rise inpatient medical tower
- Construct the supporting infrastructure
- Renovate essential hospital service spaces located in older hospital facilities
- Renovate County department spaces located in older hospital facilities
HBP is one of the largest capital projects in King County’s history. The team will provide the Medical Center with innovative, accessible, and sustainable healthcare facilities to serve the growing Pacific Northwest region.

Harborview Medical Center Energy District Request for Information (RFI)
RFI Purpose
To gather industry information that will inform:
- Strategic planning
- Extent and method of off-campus connections
- Ongoing preliminary systems design
- Governance models included strategic and operational decision-making processes
- Evaluation of procurement methodologies, available and preferable financing structures, ownership structures, and operating approaches
- Required possible future procurement activity
