The $1.74 billion Harborview Bond Program will be administered by Leslie Harper-Miles, a longtime King County employee with extensive experience working on Harborview related projects for the county.

Selected by the King County Department of Executive Services Facilities Management Division, Harper-Miles will provide strategic direction and guidance for the bond program, passed by voters in 2020. The $1.74 billion investment includes construction of new facilities, demolition of older buildings, and renovation of existing spaces across the 13-acre Harborview campus.

“Having Leslie’s experience and skillset at the helm of this project will be key to the success of this transformational investment in King County’s public health hospital,” said Executive Constantine. “This bond project will ensure that our region continues to be the best place in the country to receive emergency medical care, and I’m grateful for Leslie’s work that will benefit generations of King County residents.”

Harper-Miles brings a wealth of project leadership experience, including working on other Harborview projects. Most recently, she served as the Facilities liaison to the Executive’s Office, leading development Harborview’s strategic facilities masterplan for the next decade of the Medical Center’s growth.
