Maleng Single-Patient Rooms Project

Building the heart of the Harborview campus

The Maleng Single-Patient Rooms Project is a two-phase project that includes building improvements to Harborview Medical Center’s Ninth and Jefferson Building (NJB) and Norm Maleng Building (Maleng)

The first phase centered on renovating two NJB floors to feature outpatient clinic spaces, from a new, state-of-the-art physical therapy space to exam rooms.

Phase two focuses on renovating floors four and seven within Maleng. With outpatient services moving to the NJB, each Maleng renovated floor will provide more than a dozen single-patient rooms and required support spaces and services.

Completion of the entire project is scheduled for 2025.
